ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's PN Program Celebrates Graduation- Twenty-six graduates of ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College's Practical Nursing program were recognized during a December 12 pinning ceremony at the college's Central Campus in Hillsboro.
Auditions for ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Theatre's "Othering" will be January 17 and 18, 2025- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Theatre will hold auditions for the spring production of "Othering," a new, original play by Rainee Angles.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 students inducted into PTK Honor Society- The membership of one of higher education's most recognized honor societies, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), was enhanced by the induction of several new members at a December 11 ceremony held on ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College's Central Campus.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Next Semester begins January 13, 2025- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College's Spring Semester begins January 13, 2025, with registration now open to all current and new students.
Excellence and Growth Opportunities on Horizon Following Coming Changes- During the ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College Board of Trustees meeting on November 21, 2024, the Board entertained two agenda items essential to long-term sustainability and the College's mission component of quality. The first item proposed several programmatic changes, while the other involved a resolution to resume full operational use of the College’s entire physical footprint at the Early Learning Center in Hillsboro.

2024 Fall Semester Experiences Enrollment Increase- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College is excited to announce a 5.7% increase in student enrollment for the 2024 fall semester. Gains of 10.5% in College Credit Plus (CCP) enrollment and 0.4% increase in non-CCP hours suggest that the College continues to rely heavily on CCP enrollment while holding non-CCP enrollment steady.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Student Named 2024 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College student Marianne Price is one of 210 Phi Theta Kappa members named a 2024 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Price is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Awards Dr. Sherry and Michael Stout Scholarship to Marianne Price- The ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College Foundation has announced Marianne Price as the recipient of the Dr. Sherry and Mike Stout Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year.

To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average while carrying a specific number of academic credit hours. Those who achieve the Dean's List are full-time students who have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 to hold youth summer program June 24-27- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College is excited to announce Kids Career Encounter, a Summer Enrichment Program taking place June 24-27, 2024. Designed to foster creativity, learning, and personal growth, Kids Career Encounter offers students the chance to learn about different career pathways. Each session will be filled with fun activities that relate to one or more of ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's academic programs.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 hosts Ohio Code Scholar event- On Monday, May 6, 2024, ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 hosted the second annual end-of-year celebration for students, faculty, and staff involved in the Ohio Code Scholar (OCS) project. This event occurred in the Patriot Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and culminated the program's work in southern Ohio, supporting the Ohio Code Scholar (OCS).

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Computer Science Program and COSI team up for STEM event- On May 1, ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Computer Science Department, led by Associate Professor Dr. Joshua Montgomery, organized a STEM MiniDome Celebration Day at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus for students.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 awards Study Abroad Scholarships- In partnership with EF Study Abroad, ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 will be traveling to the British Isles: England, Ireland, and Wales May 16-26, 2024. Among the travelers are five students who have been awarded the inaugural study abroad scholarship from the Sara M. Barrere Memorial Trust Scholarship Fund, made possible through the College's Foundation.

Career Connections Job and College Fair held at ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College- On April 24, ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Department of Health Sciences hosted a Career Connections Job Fair and RN-BSN College Fair. Over 50 current and prospective students attended as well as 10 employers and 5 colleges with whom ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 partners for seamless transfer opportunities.
Four ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Students Named to the All-Ohio Academic Team- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College is pleased to announce that four current ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 students have been named to the All-Ohio Academic Team. The students, joining other honorees from Ohio's community college system, will be honored with scholarships for their academic excellence, leadership, and community service. A ceremony to recognize this year's award winners will be held virtually on April 26 as part of Community College Month in Ohio.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 student travels to Arizona to tour Intel Facility- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 student Kayla Bradshaw, of Clinton County, is one of 25 women in Ohio to recently be awarded an Intel Semiconductor Scholarship; a scholarship established by Intel Corporation. Of these 25 scholarship recipients, only 8 were selected to visit the Intel Semiconductor Facility in Phoenix, Arizona for a hands-on experience. Bradshaw was one of the 8 students selected to attend.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Phi Theta Kappa Chapter attends Ohio Region Awards Conference- The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Ohio Region Awards Conference was held on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th. The event was hosted by Cuyahoga Community College. ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's chapter had four officers and one advisor in attendance. In total, 14 chapters were in attendance/represented. This was a time of fellowship, celebration, and business proceedings.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 to offer Court Officer Basic Training- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College will be offering a new training opportunity beginning in April. The Court Officer Basic Training Program, to be held at the Greenfield Workforce Development Center, 1300 Jefferson Street in Greenfield, kicks off on April 23, 2024.

Daniels Auditorium on ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. The Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; the Sunday matinee begins at 3:30 p.m.

Associate of Business degree with Agriculture Concentration offered this Fall at ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Associate of Applied Business degree with an agriculture concentration is slated to begin in August. This initiative has been designed with local high schools that offer an agriculture program aligned with College Credit Plus. Students who may be interested in this pathway are encouraged to start planning now.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 scholarship money is available NOW to students majoring in healthcare - APPLY TODAY- Nursing and allied health students at ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College could reap the benefits from the myriad scholarship opportunities offered through the ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Foundation, a tax-exempt organization founded in 1996.

ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Launches Professional Development Program- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 will host a series of professional development courses open to the public. The first session begins February 28, 2024, and registration is required.
Fall Semester scholarship application opens on February 1 at ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911- Students enrolled, or planning to enroll, at ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College for Fall Semester, which begins in August, can benefit from various financial resources to help offset the cost of a college education.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 welcomes new Mental Health Counselor- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College is pleased to announce the employment of Elizabeth Crabtree, an Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, who will serve the student population beginning January 8. This position is funded through a mental health support grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Board of Trustees to meet January 18- The ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18 on ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911's Hillsboro Campus, Room 346, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro for their regular Board meeting. The board will enter into executive session for the purpose of discussing the purchase or sale of property.
ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 announces honors lists for fall semester- ºÚÁϺÚÀúÊ·911 Community College has released its President's List and Dean's List for academic excellence for Fall Semester 2023. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average while carrying a specific number of academic credit hours. Those who achieve the Dean's List are full-time students who have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
